Online Course Voices of the Andes - Karpays

The Karpay, also known as Karpays or Energy Transmission Rites, are ceremonies of Andean origin that form part of the spiritual worldview of the Q’ero, considered the direct descendants of the ancient Incas.

In Andean tradition, Karpay are not merely symbolic: they represent an energetic initiation in which a paqo (Andean priest or sage) “plants” in the initiate a living connection with natural forces, such as the Apus (mountain spirits), the Ñustas (feminine energies of nature), or Kausay itself, the vital energy that animates all forms of life.
